The Future Cities Nigeria (FCN) program is a series of infrastructure and capacity building projects delivered for Nigerian State governments in collaboration with the British government. The projects are implemented globally by Adam Smith International (ASI) who partner with Infrastructure Delivery International (IDI) in Nigeria for projects in Lagos, Ogun and other states. Under leadership from IDI, Avante worked closely with LASWA to provide Customer and Market intelligence services in conducting a market survey of the Lagos Inland Water ways in relation to usage by passenger, freight, operator and other interest groups. Our work included Survey Design, Content Development, Planning, Data Gathering, Survey Software Implementation, Data Management, Analysis and Reporting. Avante also provided Content Management and Data Sharing Services for the FCN project.
The National Social Investment Programmes
The National Social Investment Programmes were created to overcome the failings of the past and to enshrine the values and vision of the current Administration for graduating its citizens from poverty through capacity building, investment and direct support. The NSIP sought an application that would help them provide excellent customer care for their beneficiaries. Avante was chosen to deploy eGain Mail, eGain Chat, eGain CallTrack and eGain Knowledge for the NSIP programmes like Government Enterprise & Empowerment Programme (GEEP), N-POWER, Homegrown School Feeding Programme (HGSF) and Conditional Cash transfer Programme.
LASG Ministry of Science & Technology
The sole responsibility of this Ministry, since its inception is to provide professional and technical knowhow in the areas of IT, ICT and Science-related services to the citizenry through Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government spread across the State. Avante Consulting were able to assist the Lagos State Ministry of Science and Technology with their objectives by providing Cisco training. The course was delivered using official Cisco Certified Network Administrator training material and a certified trainer.
Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board (LASTVEB) aims to be National Leader for jobs and self-empowerment by up-skilling and integrating young people into the labour market by providing them with high quality technical skills. Avante Consulting were able to assist LASTVEB with their goals for up-skilling young people by providing Software Engineering and Oracle Database Management training.
Lagos Ferry Services Company (LFSC) known as Lagferry is a limited liability company which was established as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to compliment the efforts of the Lagos State Government (LASG) in developing the water transportation sector and subsequently reducing the strain on Lagos roads. They are a private company in which the sole initial investor is the Lagos State Government (LASG). Avante Consulting were asked to implement a network infrastructure and ticketing solution for Lagferry. Our ticketing solution as well as an intelligent infrastructure will assist Lagferry in achieving their goal as the safest and most reliable transport service for customers on the Lagos waterways.
